About Pre-K at BJC

This program provides the perfect opportunity to introduce your pre-K child to Judaism and the social/educational setting here at BJC. The Pre-K program is another benefit of membership at BJC.

Classes are structured for full parental participation and engagement. Each class is built around a theme. This year's themes include Shabbat, the Jewish holiday cycle, symbols, the Alef-Bet. Each class program is structured in segments of age-appropriate length that vary the activities and the activity-level, and transition easily from one to another. A full range of activities including music, arts & crafts, dance, stories and more. Classes meet from 10:30-11:30. Following class, Pre-K participants stay for Sacred Time and snacks with Hazzan Schnitzer along with students in grades K-2 from 11:40-12:15 (which coincides with the end of other religious school classes.) Pre-K students are invited to participate in other special religious school activities during the year.
