Help Our Neighbors,
the National Center for Children and Families
NCCF is having a car wash on 5/17,
6/14, and 7/26 to support their summer student
activities. The car wash will be held on the NCCF campus
at 6301 Greentree Road from 9:00am to 2:00pm on each
date, and NCCF will charge $ 5 per car and $ 10 per
van/SUV. |

International Jewish Film Festival

The JCCNV is proud to present the 8th Annual
International Jewish Film Festival. Truly international,
the film festival features films from eight countries
including the U.S. and Israel. This year, in addition to
the screenings at the Cinema Arts Theater in Fairfax and
the JCCNV, the festival has expanded to include movie
screenings at the Rosslyn Spectrum in Arlington.
The 8th International Jewish Film Festival is
co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater
Washington, Embassy of Israel, Arlington County
Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources,
Fairfax Choral Society, Hadassah and area synagogues. It
is partially underwritten by King David Memorial
Gardens. (Logos)
The Israeli films in the festival are co-sponsored by
the Embassy of Israel.

Personal Landscapes:
Contemporary Art from Israel
American University Museum at
the Katzen Arts Center

April 1- May 18
This exhibition, which coincides with the 60th
anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel, is a
collaboration among the Center for Israel Studies, the
American University Museum and the Naomi and Nehemiah
Cohen Foundation. The exhibit features works from 15
emerging Israeli artists that reveal the physical,
emotional, and intellectual landscape of contemporary
Israel.
The exhibit is free and open to the public from
11:00am-4:00pm, Tuesday-Sunday.

The Foundation for Jewish
Studies
Spring Distinguished Scholar Series
As part of its continued dedication to educating
Jewish minds and nourishing Jewish souls, the Foundation
brings educators from around the area and around the
world to speak to the community. Lectures are scheduled
for March, April, and May.
Each event will be held at the Sixth and I
Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC, starting at 7:30
pm.
These programs are free and open to the public. All
are encouraged to attend.
